Position: Quality Control Manager
Location:
Description: K. L. House is currently seeking applicants to fill a position for an onsite Quality Control Manager (QCM) for a construction project managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE). Candidates will be responsible for quality assurance of the entire project from the preparatory phase to the testing and acceptance phase, provide partnering with the government/owner and act as a liaison for all communication directed toward the government.
Requirements:
This position reports directly to the project manager and site superintendent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows based operating system(s) (XP/2000 Professional), Microsoft Office applications(Word, Excel, Outlook, versions 2007/2003/XP/2000), Primavera Project Planner (P3 version 3.1 and later), Internet Explorer and the COE's Quality Control Software (QCS) is a must.
Candidates must possess QCS/QCM training and current certification from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Candidates without this training/certificate may be considered for employment contingent upon completion of the next scheduled QCS/QCM class and site engineer's approval.
This position will require the following but is not limited to; ability to comprehend project specifications, read and/or markup project plans, site QC inspections, documenting and photographing construction progress, coordinating meetings (preparatory, progress, etc.), maintaining progress schedule, initiating RFIs, reviewing and processing submittals, document control, document distribution and archiving.
